Congratulations to Clinton Maurice, 2012 - 2013 Scandinavian of the Year

Clinton Maurice, Swedish, nominated by Harmoni Lodge #472, Nobel Lodge No. 184 - Vasa Order of America, and Swedish Society Linnea

Clinton generously donates his time, talent and unsurpassed dedication to the League of Swedish Societies and the League’s success in local Nordic events, especially with the Portland Scandinavian Midsummer Festival and ScanFair. His long-standing leadership in the League of Swedish Societies is a model for all of us. Not actually of Nordic descent, Clint has embraced the Swedish culture since marrying into an active Swedish family.

Also nominated in 2013 were:

Ellen Hansen, Danish, nominated by the Danish Brotherhood and the Danish Sisterhood.

Dirk & Pirjo Schulbach, Finnish, nominated by the Finlandia Foundation.
