Love Educational Outreach Program

Scandinavians have played a major role in settling the Pacific Northwest. Through a lively and engaging series of programs, students from ages K-6 will discover the rich history, arts and culture that still influence their lives today.
The Love Educational Outreach Program is designed to give children a window into the world of Scandinavian history and culture. Depending on the subject you choose, the Love Educational Outreach Program can blend current classroom work Scandinavian history, geography, music, art and language skills.
From dialog to storytelling, through the use of costumes, folk and fine art presentations, music and more, the Love Educational Outreach Program is geared to support the work of the classroom in a way that engages, challenges and educates students K-6. Topics include:
Folk tales and folk art
The world of Hans Christian Andersen
The art of Carl Larsson
Finn Family Moomintrolls
The Vikings
The Scandinavians
The Love Educational Outreach Program was created in memory of Ruth Love, a longtime supporter of the Scandinavian Heritage Foundation. Ruth Love was in her life true to her name, a loving person with a special feeling for children.
